“This stunning sculpture by Liu Qiang is an accurate depiction of humanity’s use of, and utter dependence on other animals and, in particular, the savage and bizarre habit of consuming the breast milk from mothers of other species—milk that these mothers have produced for their own babies, babies that we forced them to become pregnant with only to kill shortly after birth so that we can take the bereft mother’s milk, milk that we drink as though we were the children that we murdered.”

The Third Estate Grand Opening Celebration.

Tomorrow I am going to The Third Estate Grand Opening Celebration, how exciting!
I don’t really have much money but I might treat myself to one item if something catches my eye. (Which I am pretty sure it will).

Ethical, vegan, fashionable, free stuff…what more could I want?!

London residents are in for an ethical treat as independent boutique The Third Estate throws open its doors on Saturday 12th May, 2012 to celebrate their new Camden location.
The day long event has been planned to coincide with World Fair Trade Day and the store will be open from 10am until 6pm.’ FGV

I also need a break from manically preparing for my recital and a pick me up to distract from the loss of my fellow Diagramatics while they are on tour without me.

Got kids? Read this!

Thanks to Emma for this link to this fantastic and surreal children’s toy company.

It’s wonderfully Wonka-esque. The future of toys is here. And it’s a bit psychedelic!

A video from a gig I did a few months ago with the LSPO.

I’ll eat you up I love you so

Maurice Sendak

A book I picked up recently at a charity shop. I would definitely recommend it, although the ending wasn’t very satisfying it was a very interesting read.
